Dampier Shipyard

Facility Overview

Birdon’s Dampier Shipyard is strategically located near Western Australia’s major oil and gas fields and offshore platforms, enabling efficient, cost-effective vessel servicing with minimal transit time. The facility supports maintenance, repair, and decommissioning for offshore support vessels, tugs, and industrial fleets operating across the Pilbara region. One of the only slipway facilities servicing vessels on the North West Shelf.

As a critical regional asset, the shipyard combines proximity with capability — providing responsive, 24/7 operational support backed by skilled trades, integrated infrastructure, and a strong safety and compliance culture, enabling faster turnaround and reduced vessel downtime in remote offshore environments and delivered with clear scope, cost control and consistent communication throughout each project.
